My first post
Sometimes it’s important to just start
Good advice when doing something new: just start, it’s gonna be imperfect anyway…

looking ahead
who am I?
I’m Yoojin, and I’m a licensed marriage family therapist, and I love what I do. I also value my mental health and think about it in my work and personal life. I hope to share some of my insights in this newsletter, Thinking to Feel.

me ready to talk about mental health
what it’s not?
I’ll preface by saying this newsletter is not therapeutic advice and is not a replacement for therapy. It is for educational purposes only.
what it is?
I hope to dive into the complexities of simple emotions, differentiate them from diagnosis, and explore how they are part of our daily lives. I’ll also explore topics such as: the intersection of mental health and culture, and what really is therapy?
I’ll also talk about how I manage my own mental health through the tools I developed over time. Please note that what may work for me may not for you.
Perhaps you’ll feel a little more informed and maybe a little less uncomfortable discussing an often confusing topic. The world can use more healthy discussions around mental health and a little less stigma.
look out for
Weekly newsletter and feel free to share with others who might like it too. Thanks for reading!
